I can’t remember the last time I saw this much rain here in Calgary. With all the residential and commercial construction going on in the city right now, the rain we have had in the last 18 hours has caused major problems for traffic, construction sites, homes and businesses.
Below is a picture of the flooding of one of our major roadways in the city last night.
These next couple of pictures are of a parkade very near by. It is amazing to me as I have not experienced rain or flooding like this before.
The rain continues to fall and homeowners and businesses are scrambling to clean up the water they have already taken in and try to prevent more from entering their homes and businesses.
I don’t think I’ve ever owned an umbrella or rubber boots…maybe it’s time.
